Have you checked in with yourself lately? How have you been doing physically and mentally? Sometimes, it’s worth taking a few minutes to sit with your thoughts, take a couple breaths, and see what kind of signals your body and mind are giving you.
Have you been feeling like maybe it’s time for change? Like maybe you want to implement changes to help you become healthier and happier? These feelings and thoughts are valid, and we want to help you if you’re looking to embark on a new health journey. In this blog, we will go over several small changes you can implement to transition yourself towards a healthier lifestyle.
5. Have a constant every morning
When you wake up in the morning, what’s the first thing that you do? Do you reach for your phone? Go to the bathroom? Drink water? If you’re the kind of person that has a morning routine that varies day to day, try implementing one habit or small action that’ll remain a constant on a daily basis. Psychologically speaking, when we have a constant in life, we feel so much more productive, and put together. Here are some ideas:
-take your round of supplements & vitamins, like CBD!
-have lemon water
-meditate for a few minutes
-say 3 affirmations
-speak out loud & say what you’re grateful for
-sit down for breakfast
2. Carry a reusable water bottle with you
Hydration is key and without it we can suffer from brain fog, irritability, discomfort, and more. To keep yourself sharp and comfy throughout the day, buy a water bottle! By carrying a bottle with you, you have a constant reminder to drink water and it’ll decrease the amount of single use plastic you use. This small action is sustainable and healthy for you too.
3. Express yourself through journaling
Everyone goes through rough times. Every day varies and sometimes we come home neutral whereas other days we wish to fast forward to the next day. Buy a journal and take the evening time right before bed to write down thoughts about your day. If you’re bothered by something or someone, you can express it through writing. It’s a judgment free exercise that has been proven to boost mental health and wellbeing.
4. Make it a goal to have at least one healthy meal per day
Food is not just fuel but something that can be quite pleasurable, so it is understandable that not everyone will be eating spinach and kale at every meal. Eat foods you enjoy and try to incorporate new foods slowly. Make it a goal to eat at least one nourishing meal each day consisting of leafy greens, veggies, grains/legumes, fats, protein, and carbs. Buddha bowls are a great option and incorporate all of these making sure you get all vital nutrients in.
5. Try alternative methods to support any chronic conditions you may deal with
Feeling empowered is life changing and living with a chronic condition can deplete that sense of empowerment. It is time to reclaim that power and find ways alongside your medications and regular doctor visits to boost your sense of willpower. Here are a few alternative ways to support your chronic condition (i.e., arthritis, fibromyalgia, autoimmune conditions, etc.):
-try out our CBD oil, capsules, or gummies to alleviate stress, pain, or inflammation
-seek nutritional advice specifically tailored to your needs to support the condition
-incorporate yoga as it has been shown to decrease stress levels and support pain associated with arthritis and fibro
-having routine acupuncture has been shown to increase the formation of new brain cells, reduce stress, and promote wellbeing
-meditating frequently boosts positive emotions and wellbeing
These are just a few things you can start doing to encourage a healthy and positive lifestyle. We hope that you feel inspired and supported. Should you have any questions about how to incorporate CBD or which one of our many products works best for you, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team!
