How’s your skin looking lately? Is it something you pay attention to, or do you sit back and let it do its thing? Here are some signs your skin is need of a little love:
• Skin appears blotchy with some areas darker or lighter than others
• Flakiness/tightness
• Wrinkles that are not usually there (some wrinkles form due to dehydration and are immediately visibly reduced with hydrating ingredients)
• Persistent acne
• Hyperpigmentation
• Excess sebum production
• Dullness
Did you know that the skin is the largest organ of the body? Yet, it doesn’t need much to solve these issues. One of the main things that our skin needs is moisture and hydration as it can lose anywhere from 300-400 milliliters per day. Of course, the main thing you should do is consistently drink water throughout the day, but there are other ways you can support the skin.
One of the great things about CBD, specifically in skincare, is its versatility and ability to tackle so many issues at once. For starters, CBD is amazing for acne prone skin/oily/combination skin. Did you know that acne is an inflammatory condition? We have all heard of the benefits that CBD has over pain and inflammation which in relation to acne, has the same underlying mechanisms. Acne can often be treated with topical creams and ointments that are soothing
and have anti-inflammatory properties. This is where CBD can come into play. Research has shown that when applied to the skin, CBD can visibly reduce redness, acne/blemishes/breakouts, and inflammation. It can also make skin less reactive preventing further irritation of the skin. Because CBD is applied as an oil to the skin, it signals to the skin to produce less oil which can result in the balancing of oily skin and decrease the amount of sebum that’s produced. Try out our CBD day cream and serum to diminish acne and soothe the skin.
CBD has significant antioxidant properties. Did you know that there are 30-50% more antioxidant properties in CBD than there is in vitamin C? We know that consuming CBD can help support immune function and may prevent cellular damage. Similarly, there are such effects when applied on the skin topically. Skin aging and damage can occur from free radical damage and environmental pollutants. Have you ever seen the difference between a cut apple left in the open air versus that of one which has been covered in a citrus juice? The difference is that one browns a lot more rapidly than the other covered with antioxidants. When you start your day with applying CBD on your face, once you step out into the world, you basically have a protective layer on your face that is going to protect your skin from environmental pollutants and free radical damage. Overall, this would mean that your skin’s wrinkles, dullness, and uneven skin tone could improve. Our CBD night cream with retinol, CBD antiwrinkle cream, and vitamin C facial oil will all help in reducing the appearance of wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and premature aging.
Similarly, to acne prone skin, many individuals struggle with other inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis. These are immune conditions that are a result of hyperactivity in the immune system leading to excess unnecessary inflammation. Our healing and soothing CBD serum, moisturizer, and original facial oil can be used in combination to combat redness from rosacea, flakiness and dryness from eczema, and overall irritation and/or inflammation. Of course, these conditions are not just on the face and can be found throughout the body. That’s why we created our CBD body lotion infused with hydrating humectants and truly moisturizing ingredients. If your skin is generally dry and nothing seems to work, we recommend applying our moisturizers on damp skin, followed by oils to seal it all in.
We hope this helps you better understand how CBD can positively impact skin health. With this in mind, how are you going to up your skincare game?

My 23 year old son has back acne. What products would you suggest
Good morning Connie!
We would recommend using our CBD Face Oil after taking a cold shower and using a chemical exfoliant, like a product that contains salicylic acid, as well. CBD oil works as an anti-inflammatory and may help reduce various types of acne thanks to its ability to adjust how the body creates sebum. If the problem persists or becomes severe, seeing a dermatologist is always recommended. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We love to help!
